Poetry: Colby Gillette

WITHOUT REPAIR

incident music grieves the weather
our relationship walks
the wild of all living
I keep the world to

loss in my chest sprawls
about the banks
tall insults
and injuries to order
pitch out into space

a bird stammers the air
figures where to build then
shatters in the shade

silence
beyond the window flickers

BRIGHT WITHSTANDING

fields are walking
Spring into Summer

dawn distance
linger down the road

faded stars
littered glass on the shoulder

day’s scattered blank
flickers through the visible

your lips faint calling
