Marti Johnson was born in San Miguel, CA, with the Salinas River Valley in her back yard. She co-created the 2018 Wikimania Cape Town Art Exhibition and currently serves as Senior Program Officer for Community Resources at the Wikimedia Foundation. She tends to be a wrench in the spoke more than a cog in the machine. She lives in Oakland.
